All About the PTA

Why Join the PTA?

The mission of the FPMS PTA is to represent and provide a voice for every child, support our teachers and enhance our children’s learning environment.

We know many of you have “PTA burnout” from elementary school. We get it. The good news is that parent demands in middle school are drastically reduced but one thing is not – the need for your support. Your membership and financial support are critical to our success.

In return, we promise to be socially and fiscally responsible, to communicate consistently, and to be transparent throughout the year letting you know when we allocate grants, and how your money is being spent.

Here is a high-level overview of how we operate:
We have only three major fundraisers a year:
• Annual Membership drive & Family Annual Fund Campaign
• Corporate or Community Sponsor Annual Fund Campaign
• School Supply sale

100% of the funds raised go directly towards school improvements, professional development for our teachers, staff appreciation, team building and morale, student needs and items in the classroom.

The PTA also supplements other FPMS clubs and activities via our benevolence fund. This fund offsets the cost of equipment and workshop fees that would otherwise prevent students from participating in activities.

It's easy to join - just click here to register online and also contribute to the Annual Fund.
Thank you for supporting the FPMS PTA and our students!

Our Mission at FPMS PTA

Our purpose at Four Points Middle School PTA, in common with the National PTA and Texas PTA is:

• To promote the welfare of youth in home, school, places of worship and within the community,
• To raise the standards of home life,
• To advocate for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare and safety of our youth,
• To promote the collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of our youth,
• To engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of youth,
• To advocate for the fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in the public education funding.

We support collaboration among community and educators, we are committed to our youth, we respect the diversity and are accountable for our initiatives in supporting inclusive and innovative education – which should maximize the academic growth for each child.

How are we doing this?
• The money raised goes directly back to benefit the students at Four Points Middle School through initiatives that the staff and teachers implement.
• We support innovation in education by providing grants to the teachers and staff.
• We offer a wide-range of student assemblies to include the whole student body.
• We provide tools used in the classroom directly by the students such as frogs for dissection, art and music materials, new technology, computer stations in the library.
• We provide several means of communication through social media and newsletter to keep parents informed.
• We offer a Care Closet full of items our students may need.
• We created a relaxing teacher sojourn and outdoor patio for our students for their desired social experiences.
